Home and History

Our home is a comfortable 1½ story Victorian Greek Revival (C. 1854). The home was owned by a druggist, later inherited by his two sons, who were also druggists. The house remained in their family for approximately 100 years. In 1954 the Sisters of St. Martha purchased the property. In 1956 we purchased the home from the Sisters. We had four children grow up in this home. When the "empty nest" happened, Shebby's B&B began (1993).
The name "Shebby" originated from a nickname given to the hostess.

We have welcomed and enjoyed guests from all around the world, and we continue to enjoy this experience.
